This document outlines the privacy measures governing ACS SDK Download Portal, an online service for facilitating the SDK validation and download for which the software has been bought by the customer.

Since the portal is intended to distribute the SDK software, the customer is required to create an account through which the following information is solicited:

First Name, Last Name, E-mail Address, Company Name, and Password

The abovementioned information is requested in order to securely distribute the ACS SDK software to eligible customers of ACS. This portal also aims to protect ACS customers from getting a software not developed by ACS. 

Furthermore, the website solicits no further personally identifiable information apart from those mentioned above.

 

III. INFORMATION STORAGE AND PROTECTION

As stated previously, the website is intended to distribute the SDK software securely to eligible ACS customers. The information is submitted and stored via encrypted and secured SSL connection. The website enables storage of the aforementioned information, but does not transmit it to other parties. 

 

The developer does not, under any circumstances, collect information encoded into the website. Nor does the developer collect, retain, or provide third parties with personally identifiable information of the users.

 

IV. ABOUT THE DEVELOPER 

ACS SDK Download Portal is developed by Advanced Card Systems Ltd. (ACS), which develops and distributes smart cards, smart card readers, and related services to over 100 countries. It is publicly listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (SEHK: 2086) and provides further company information via www.acs.com.hk. 

 

V. NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES 

Changes to ACS SDK Download Portal’s privacy policy will be reflected in this document upon website update, and privacy settings updates will be posted, which are summarized on the log-in page of this website.

ACS developed this website using only legally acquired resources, and in compliance with common ethical standards. This website is by no means intended for use in any other purpose aside from the secure distribution of the ACS SDK software.
